VanMoof E-bike Maintenance for Viker Service
VanMoof e-bikes bring sleek Dutch design and smart technology together. We use these bikes for our Service "Viker" for tourists, our urban bike-sharing service.

We recently serviced two bikes running at THE LUIGANS Spa&Resort.
1. Handle Repair
We repaired handle cover damage from what looked like a fall, caught during routine inspection. Accidents happen — we hope the rider wasn't hurt, and we encourage users to report any concerns.
VanMoof handles have internal wiring, so careful work is essential. We used genuine parts brought back from the Netherlands and specialized adhesive for the repair.
2. Matrix LED Display Repair
One of VanMoof's coolest features is the dot matrix LED display built into the frame (we love that retro vibe when it shows your speed!). We fixed some LED issues from aging.
Usually this part gets replaced, but since it was just burned-out LED bulbs, we decided to take on the challenge of a full disassembly repair. From removing the battery module to taking apart the LED module, cleaning, and reassembling—we brought it back to life.
3. Tail Light and Front Light Maintenance
Another e-bike signature feature - the front and rear lighting system. We regularly clean and adjust the brightness.
Safe night riding depends on proper light maintenance. Since Viker runs around the clock with many users, we maintain good light condition.
4. Saddle Maintenance and Optimization
No electronic work here, but this unique part can't be replaced with standard bike parts and gets lost easily. We used genuine parts brought back from the Netherlands to get it right.
5. Button Wiring Repair
VanMoof's left and right buttons control e-bike features like the electronic chime and throttle—simple but distinctive. We found broken wiring in the right button and fixed it. Please report issues early so the next rider has a better experience, and our apologies to anyone who rented a bike with this problem.
We carefully restored the wiring and got the right button working again.
Final Test Drive - Confirming Perfect Results
After all repairs, we take the bikes for a test ride. We check electronic system responsiveness, button feel, and lighting visibility—making sure everything works perfectly (this is honestly the best part of this job!).

Repair Cafe FUKUOKA handles any VanMoof repairs beyond just our service "Viker". While official VanMoof repair services in Japan have stopped, we continue providing repairs using genuine parts brought back from the Netherlands.
